Shekinah tops list of most streamed SA Female Artists on Apple Music

Shekinah is the most-streamed South African female artist of Apple Music, the service announced on Friday (August 2) — just in time for Women’s Month.

The 24-year-old Durban born edges out Lady Zamar, Karen Zoid and Lebo Sekgobela on Apple Music’s “SA Top Women in Streaming” list, announced as the service will showcase several South African female artists during August on its radio shows and curated playlists.

As August continue, Apple Music set to celebrates SA female artists such as Sho Madjozi, Lady Zamar, Karen Zoid, Shekhinah, Amanda Black, Msaki and Simmy.
Other noteworthy results include Zonke coming in at number seven, Amanda Black at number 8, and 34-year-old gospel singer Ntokozo Mbambo cracking the top 10.
