Kwaito star and convicted rapist Sipho “Brickz” Ndlovu is behind bars but that doesn’t seem to have stopped his love life.
Brickz was found guilty of raping a 17-year-old relative of his in 2013 and was sentenced to 15 years in 2017.
In an interview with Drum, his fiancée, Cazo Cas said that she is sticking by her man. “I feel like all relationships have their ups and downs and we’re just going through a downhill right now,” she said.
She said she can’t leave him because times are hard right now. “We’ve had beautiful times together, so why should I leave him because he’s going through a dark phase?”
Cas said that they had been together for 3 years and the sentence didn’t change her love for him because she believes that he is a good person.
The magazine received some criticism over their decision to interview a convicted rapist during Women’s month. Phil Mphela, an entertainment commentator, took to Twitter to voice his opinion.
Brickz also made headlines last year when he revealed that he smokes weed in prison to cope. His fiancée Cas said she couldn’t wait for them to spend time together.
