Zozibini Tunzi was beauty and elegance personified on Women’s Day as she strutted her stuff at the Miss South Africa pageant and won the coveted title.
The 25-year-old isn’t just a beauty queen; she is also a Public Relations graduate from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town.
A multi-tasker, she works whilst also pursuing her BTech in Public Relations Management part time.
She is a proud Xhosa woman and hails from Tsolo, eSdadweni which is a small village in the Eastern Cape.
She is passionate about education. When asked what she would tell president if she were his advisor she highlighted the plight of rural Eastern Cape pupils who do not have access to adequate classrooms, infrastructure or even bridges.
“I feel absolutely amazing. It’s something I’ve been working towards for a long time,” she told SABC news. She was no stranger to the pageant as she had entered in 2017 and even reached the semi-finals!
With short natural hair, Zozibini is a natural beauty. She said she was afraid of cutting her hair and going natural because “society is confused, when it comes to the term beauty… You can be beautiful however you want to look.”
The stunner describes herself as an advocate for women’s rights and will devote her time to issues and women’s empowerment in South Africa. We can’t wait to see what she will accomplish during her reign!
