Phat Joe uses transphobic slur live on air

Majote “Phat Joe” Khambule may have found himself in hot water again after allegedly referring to transgender people as tr*****s on his show Phat Joe and the Family this morning.

The Radio 2000 DJ was quoting American hip-hop sensation Cardi B. The use of the derogatory term has angered the LGBTQ+ community once more.

In defence of Zodwa Wabantu’s homophobic remarks in July, Phat Joe is alleged to have said that he “doesn’t understand why gays can’t accept that it’s difficult for most people to accept their lifestyle.”

He is also said to have alluded to being “disgusted” when they hit on him. The comments led to him being suspended temporarily by Radio 2000.
