 Former Soccer star Teko Modise to host his new TV show ‘It Takes a Village’

Teko Modise is set to launch his own reality TV show.

The 36-year-old retired soccer star is planning a new career move as he will host a new reality TV show called ‘It Takes a Village’ on SABC1. The 11-part episode series will see Teko Modise lend a helping hand to young South African men who face life challenges.

Teko Modise is a former Midfielder for Premier Soccer League clubs such as Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City.

What is ‘It Takes a Village’ all about?

The first season of the show saw DJ Zinhle going back to her childhood hometown of Dannhauser in KwaZulu-Natal to help equip young women with tools to deal with challenges such as unemployment, alcohol and drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and crime.

In the final episode, He also addressed his own personal issue. “The General”, as they knew Modise during his playing days, reunites with his father, Steve Sekgaila, some 25 years after he last saw him.
