Comedian Trevor Noah made the Forbes top 5 of the highest paid comedians in the world.
The Born a Crime author reportedly earned an estimated R430 million ($28 m) from his stand up comedy income.
Forbes credits Trevor’s comedy tours for his earnings. “Despite the demands of hosting a late-night show, Noah made more than 70 stops across the world and had his second Netflix special last fall,” the magazine said.
Topping the list was comedy superstar Kevin Hart who got a hefty $59 million. In second place was Jerry Seinfeld with $41 million.
Trevor has recently taken a break from The Daily Show and doing stand up after having problems with his throat. “Unfortunately, per doctor’s orders I am on vocal rest….Luckily we’ve got a few days off so I’m gonna rest and get back to,” he tweeted.
