Johannesburg will be the place to be this September as the 27th Arts Alive Festival takes place in the city. The festival will be filled with music, drama and art.
The event was launched this Thursday and will be kick started by the Jazz on the Lake Concert that is taking place on Sunday.
Performers at the concert include Vusi Nova, Sjava, Bucie, Ami Faku and international artist such as Madre Tierra Band (Cuba) and Tamy Moyo who is from Zimbabwe.
The drama aspect of the festival will inspire creativity and promote positive change within communities.
Soweto Art Week is also set to take place from September 25 to 29 at Soweto Theatre in Jabulani. The art week will feature Soweto Art and Craft Fair, Dinaledi Lifestyle Market and other events.
