‘Idols SA 2019’ Top 17 Group B: Micayla, Zia, Luyolo, Graig, Sneziey & more sing for SA’s Vote

The second live episode of season fifteen, contestants on Idols SA 2019 sang for South Africa’s vote on Sunday (September 1) night. The eight contestants from the Top 17 (Group B) sang solos and competed for the top 10.

First up was Sneziey Msomi – singing “Getsemane” by SbuNoah.  “Her voice was on point, ” Randall said. Unathi “She could visualise her in the Top 10” Nkayi said. Somizi Mhlongo said her song choice was possibly the smartest song choice in the history of Idols.

Nqobile Gumede followed, singing “Love Theory” by Kirk Franklin. 

Luyolo Yiba sang “Just Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur.

Zia Fielies brought the heat with his performance of “Better” by Khalid.

Treasure Mngadi sang “The Middle” by Zedd ft. Grey, which suited his smooth voice well.

Craig Jordaan did it up with his performance of “Dancing With A Stranger” by Sam Smith and Normani. “Whoo shem” Somizi said.

Micayla Oelofse brought the heat with his performance of “Themba” by Kelly Khumalo, showing off creative vocals. “You are a pop star!” Somizi said. “She had now showed she was a versatile performer” Unathi said.

Closing out the night, Innocentia Sibi was owning the stage like a seasoned super-star and delivering some unbelievable high notes  of “Scars To Your Beautiful” from Alessia Cara.

Idols SA is hosted by Proverb alongside judges, Somizi Mhlongo, Unathi Nkayi and Randall Abrahams.

Now it’s up to the viewers. Contestants will be voted through to the top 10. The Idols SA top 10 results will be announced on Sunday (September 8) on Mzansi Magic.

Voting opens at 5PM (Sunday 1 September 2019) and closed at 10pm on Tuesday 3 September.
