Mashego ‘Maps’ Maponyane has recently opened a new burger joint Buns Out in Linden, Johannesburg. The restaurant is already a hit with rave reviews about its menu.
Talking to Radio 702, Maps opened up about his journey of becoming an entrepreneur and the challenges he faced. The 29 year old said it takes courage to begin in any business.
“If you don’t have the appetite for risk, even the appetite for failure, then it is very hard to survive as an entrepreneur. You need to know that you are taking something that is going to require so much from you,” he said.
Maps also said it takes hard work and dedication to succeed. “You just have to be able to work relentlessly to be able to achieve what you want.”
“There are all these elements that need to come with taking that risk, that require a lot of time from yourself that will in the end determine whether your business makes it or not,” he added.
