‘Springboks Rugby World Cup 2019 win, black excellence not as racial unity’: Mbuyseni Ndlozi

On the 2nd of November 2019, the Springboks won the Rugby world cup against England. This is their third time winning the Rugby World Cup. This win comes under the leadership of captain Siya Kholisi and the coaching of Rassie Erasmus.

While many are rejoicing and celebrating the win as a way forward for the county others don’t share the same sentiments.

Mbuyseni Ndlozi shared his thoughts on how he sees the win as #BlackExcellent and not as racial unity. Mbuyseni touched on the racial injustice present in South Africa and proclaimed that this generation will be better than the previous because it will not participate in this Rugby euphoria and refuse unity without equality and land.

His sentiments were widely echoed by tweeps.
