The much-anticipated local biopic, Dream: The Lebo Mathosa Story, will premiere Tonight. The six-part series will depicts the life of the singer-songwriter, who rose to fame as one of the lead singers for popular South African band Boom Shaka in 1994 at the age of 17.

Songstress KB is set to play the adult Lebo, while up and coming actress Bahumi landed her defining role of bringing young Lebo to life on screen.

The biopic will feature some of South Africa’s most recognisable faces, including Black Panther’s Connie Chume who will play Ma Mathosa, veteran actor Peter Sephuma as Pa Mathosa, iconic actor Sello Maake Ka Ncube as the family pastor, award winning actress Charmaine Mtinta and choreographer Khabonina Qubeka. 3sum’s Amstel as well as actors, Nyanyiso Dzedze and Jet Novuka join the cast in supporting roles.
