Nadia Nakai adds another accomplishment to a year of dominance.

On Saturday night (November 23), the 29-year-old rapper and songwriter took home the award for Best Female Artist in Southern Africa at 2019 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA). She won the award with her hit track titled ‘Imma Boss’.

Nadia Nakai was competing with South African female acts which includes Kelly Khumalo, Sho Madjozi and Zonke. Other nominees included Zimbabwean singers Ammara Brown, Tamy Moyo and Namibian’s Chukune featuring Mbosso and Trina South.

She also won Best Artist, Duo or Group in African Hip Hop.

Nadia’s win comes 3 days after she won Best Female Rapper at the 2019 South African Hip Hop Awards (SAHHA).

Afrima Awards 2019 are took place in Lagos, Nigeria with South African television personality Pearl Thusi and British-Congolese comedian Eddie Kadi hosting.
