We finally have a new Miss Universe. Miss South Africa, Zozibini Tunzi was just crowned the the winner of the pageant for the year 2019.
Becoming Miss Universe is not just about beauty, it’s also about being compassionate, intelligent and an exceptionally good human being too, and this reflected in Miss South Africa’ winning answer.
The question put to her in the final round by the host, Steve Harvey was:
“What is the most important thing we should be teaching young girls today?”, Steve Harvey asked.
Zozibini Tunizi responded by saying that she thinks that the most important thing we should be teaching young girls today is leadership because its something that has been lacking in young girls and women for a very long time. She touched on the lack of leadership is not because women and girls do not want to lead but because society has labeled women and girls unable to.
“I think we are the most powerful beings on the world and that we should be given every opportunity and that is what we should be teaching these young girls- TO TAKE UP SPACE”, she continued.
She ended her speech by telling us what is important, “Nothing is as important as taking up space in society and cementing yourself!”
