Rami Chuene has confirmed that she is leaving the hit drama series The Queen. According to Sunday World, the actress’s exit was caused by behind the scenes drama between her and Ferguson Films.
Her character Gracious Mabuza will reportedly be killed off due to the controversy. Sunday World reports that this was revealed when the cast got new scripts with Rami Chuene’s character dying at a certain point.
Rami Chuene announced the news on her Social Media this Sunday. The star stated that she couldn’t openly discuss the matter because of legal reasons.
Yes, TGOM’s stint on #TheQueenMzansi has come to an end. Unfortunately, I won’t be getting into details as advised by my legal team. I still have to finish shooting and I’m hoping to execute as excellently, exceptionally and professionally as I always have. #TGOMNATION forever❤️— Rami Chuene🌈🏳️🌈 (@ramichuene) January 19, 2020
Fans also speculated that the chop was due to Rami Chuene openly supporting Vathiswa Ndara in her row with Ferguson Films. Another star of the show Setumo Motsoaledi will also be leaving.
