Pitch Black Afro has failed to appear at the South Gauteng High Court for his trial. The rapper who is facing a count of murder and defeating the ends of justice was supposed to hear his judgement this Wednesday.
The artist’s baffling absence was reportedly due to not being transported with other inmates to the court. The case has now been postponed and the Judgement will be heard on Thursday, 18 June.
The National Prosecution Authority (NPA) charged the 41-year old with the premeditated murder of his wife Catherine Modisane two years ago. The alleged incident took place on 30 December 2018 at a Johannesburg bed and breakfast.
Modisane died of blunt head trauma and her body was discovered the day after the alleged murder. Pitch Black Afro reportedly said that she had died of natural causes after coughing up blood.
